ATTN: Nursing Stations and Clients

Following communication from Indigenous Services Canada reads the following:

“Effective February 1st, all return travel for clients to Thunder Bay for medical appointments will now be arranged by NIHB prior to the client departing from the community.

Please make sure when travel is requested that the client actually plans on going out as this increase in workload will make it harder for NIHB to keep up to the already heavy workload.

Travel will NOT be changed unless the client has more appointments to attend. If a client wishes to stay out longer in Thunder Bay they can arrange their own travel back to the community and have NIHB cancel the travel that is already booked.

No special travel will be arranged at the client’s request.
