Our Sioux Lookout First Nations Health Authority President and Chief Executive Officer, Sonia Isaac-Mann, was recently featured by Healthcare Excellence Canada in its Voices Shaping Safer Care series. Sonia shares personal experiences that shaped her career, the importance of First Nations having greater control over their healthcare services, and the need to address systemic racism to create culturally safe care.
She also highlights SLFNHA’s wraparound services for patients travelling from First Nations communities and the value of First Nations health leaders coming together to share knowledge and learn from one another.
