UPCOMING EVENTS: Truth and Reconciliation Week

Putting reconciliation into practice, the Sioux Lookout First Nations Health Authority (SLFNHA), Nishnawbe-Gamik Friendship Centre (NGFC), and Ontario Native Women’s Association (ONWA) have partnered together to host activities for Truth & Reconciliation Week, Sept. 28 – Oct. 2, 2026.

As we mark Truth & Reconciliation Week, we want to thank our communities and partners for walking this path with us. There is more work ahead, and we are glad to be doing it together. Each new connection and every event we share is proof that we are showing up, listening, and building relationships that last.

Please join us for a variety of events, activities, and opportunities to come together, learn, reflect, and honour Survivors, their families, and the children who never returned home. We encourage community members, staff, families, and organizations to take part in the activities happening throughout the week. Let’s come together to learn, remember, honour, and take meaningful steps toward reconciliation.
