Let’s Talk About Cancer, Healing, and Hope
Let’s Talk About Cancer, Healing, and Hope is an awareness initiative focused on the importance of regular screening, early detection, and celebrating resilience, and life after cancer.
Developed in partnership with the North West Regional Cancer Program and Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre, the campaign highlights cancers impacting First Nations across Kiiwetinoong and encourages open conversations about cancer, healing, and hope.
At the heart of the campaign are survivor stories from Connie Gray-McKay (Mishkeegogamang Ojibway Nation), Pauline Lac Seul (Lac Seul First Nation), and Norine Van Breda (Hudson, ON)—shared to inspire others, promote screening, and remind families that early detection saves lives.
