The transportation program is located at the main reception area at the Hostels in Sioux Lookout.
Transportation provides rides for clients to medical appointments and trips to the pharmacy for prescription pickups. Our fleet of minivans also picks up and drops off clients at the airports.
The program operates between 6 a.m. and 10 p.m., in Sioux Lookout. Drivers work modified shifts to provide coverage. A dispatcher is responsible for coordinating trips and drivers, as well as arranging return air travel after-hours and weekends.
Upon arrival in Sioux Lookout, guests and escorts can speak to the Airport Interpreter to arrange for transportation to the hostel. The Interpreter is at the desk Monday to Friday, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. If the interpreter is not present, please use the phone located beside the desk to call the Hostel and let them know you require transportation. If you have a child with you and require a car seat, please let the interpreter or driver know.
