What is a Meno Weecheeheeway Navigator?
Meno Weecheeheeway – which means ‘Good Helper’ in Anishinaabe – are Patient Navigators who provide guidance and support for SLFNHA clients who leave their homes and families to access health care outside of their communities. The Meno Weecheeheeway Navigators help the clients overcome the barriers that prevent them from getting the health care they need while they are away from their communities. For many clients, the process of accessing health care can be difficult.
