Superintendent
Salary Range $57,869 to 70,454 per annum
Job Summary:
The Camp SLFNHA Superintendent is responsible for the Operation and Maintenance for CAMP SLFNHA. The operation and maintenance will include ensuring all equipment is in good working condition, building and properties are safe and guest cabins are clean and meet covid 19 guidelines
This is a live in position with accommodations being provided,

Applicants must possess:
- High school completion and diploma/training program at college or technical school
- 1 to 3 years experience as a superintendent or in maintenance
- Required to reside on the premises and be available after regular working hours (Regular working hours will be 8:30 – 4:30 Mon – Fri with flexibility)
- Experience in all Janitorial, Maintenance, Security, and general carpentry
- Knowledge of heating cooling systems, boat/vehicle maintenance,
- Ability to speak Ojibway, Oji-Cree and Cree would be an asset
- Must have or be willing to obtain First Aid CPR, Naloxone training
- Must be available to stay on site overnight, and be on-call accommodation is provided
- Knowledge of Occupation health and safety
- Ability to work independently, and in a team setting
- Ability to make sound quick decisions
- Able to lift 50lbs and work on feet for extended periods
- Good organizational, communication skills
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Complete ongoing maintenance at Camp SLFNHA, this will include but not limited to minor carpentry, replacing of light bulbs, painting, replacing bathroom fixtures, hanging of doors, minor patching of drywall, etc.
- General cleaning of all building, boats and vehicles
- Securing of SLFNHA property, and following of Health and safety processes
- Lawn maintenance / snow removal, general ground maintenance and clean up
- Arrange and assist SLFNHA Maintenance workers and general contractors with required work
- Identify Health and Safety hazards and maintenance issues, report and correct issue if within scope of work
- To remain on site and be available for on-call maintenance/security requests from guest’s staff staying at SLFNHA camp
- Make sure alarms and security systems are functioning and in good working order
- Work with OPP, Fire and ambulance regarding any issues/emergencies arising on property
- Maintain garbage bins, recycling systems and biohazard waste disposal system
- Maintain and compile daily log books and ensure all required documentation is entered
- Complete all training that is mandated to the position and attend and contribute to staff meetings
- Perform Housekeeping and Laundry functions such as making beds, dusting and sweeping floors, cleaning bathroom, linen changes and performing laundry services and stock clean linens and towels
- Maintain inventory logs and report losses
- Be available for deliveries at property
- All other duties as assigned
