Quality Assurance Worker

Deadline: Mar 16th - 4:30pm
Location: Sioux Lookout, ONCommitment: Full Time

This full time position reports to the Intake Supervisor. The Quality Assurance Worker is responsible for the data entry of all documentation to the CIMS database.


  • Computer literate, database, stats/spreadsheets
  • Specialized courses in specific areas of mental health (KFIS↔SBFI/Medical  Terminology, Telehealth)
  • Experience working with First Nations people and northern communities
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality
  •  Must:     a)   Produce a Criminal Records check

                    b)   Have First Aid &CPR – Adult & Child

  • Good working knowledge and experience in time management
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • NIHB – knowledge
  •  Knowledge of local resources
  • Ability to communicate effectively with physicians, local agencies and community based mental health         resources
  •  Ability to make emergency assessments and provide emergency resource contact information
  •  Knowledge of health care system within the Sioux Lookout Zone
  • A good understanding of the Child & Family Services Act, Mental Health Act and awareness of current issues within Northern and remote Native communities


  • Enter data into CIMS database (referrals, contact notes, assessments, medical reports, etc)
  • Information view report and analysis
  • Train staff in CIMS usage
  • Statistical report
  • Ministry reports
  •  Client data report
  •  Liaise with counsellors, on-call workers and clinical supervisors
  • Reviewing and redirecting organizational documentation
  • And any other duties as assigned by your Supervisor
