Finance Clerk

The Finance Clerk is responsible for the financial administrative functions as part of the Finance Team. Assignment of one of the functional areas (Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Travel, Expense Claims, etc.) may be made and may change from time to time depending on the needs of the finance department and the agency overall. Each member of the Finance Team is responsible for providing coverage and support as required by work flow and team member absences.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Certificate or Diploma in Accounting
  • Previous bookkeeping experience is an asset
  • Proficiency in MS Excel particularly use of formulas and creation of databases would be asset
  • Proficiency in data entry required
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledgeable of HST/GST filing requirements and data management
  • Possess excellent interpersonal skills, organizational and planning skills
  • Must be willing and able to work as part of a team
  • Knowledge of documentation of work flows and procedures and ability to use these documents
  • Must be able to work independently and meet deadlines in a high paced work environment
