All accommodation services are
channeled through the Accommodation Office at the Hostel. The
Hostel is a 39 bed facility, and is the first priority for all
accommodations requirements, on a first come, first served
basis. When there are no rooms available at the hostel, it is
the policy of the CSD that when the hostel is fully occupied,
the client will be accommodated at an available hotel. The
hotel is selected depending on the client needs and/or hotel
room availability. When there are no hotel rooms available, the
next step is to seek Private Boarding Homes with family or
friends of the client or with those that have provided the
services before and is willing to do it again. As a last resort
clients may be transported to Dryden for the night.
In April 2002, all commercial
accommodations were set up to come on-line through the
Non-Insured Health Services Database System. The accommodation
clerks at the hostel facility will continue to be responsible
for processing commercial accommodations for clients require
services. Meals will only be provided at hotels where it has
been authorized by the Non-Insured Health Services. All other
clients staying at hotels will be required to eat at the Zone
Cafeteria. |
