The Project Assistant’s primary function will be to ensure a
smooth transition from the current hostel facility into the new
hostel. In addition, this position will review hostel project
information on a daily basis and provide input on changes to the
project.
The Project Assistant reports to and is supervised by the
Director of Client Services.
QUALIFICATIONS
-
Post Secondary education in Project Management and/or Health
Care Administration;

Extensive experience in administration, particularly in First
Nations organizations;
-
Must have excellent organizational skills and the ability to
work independently and as part of a team;
-
Ability to deal with public in a professional and co-operative
manner.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
-
Excellent written and oral communication skills;
-
Ability to travel;
-
Knowledge of people, culture and health priorities of the
First Nations communities in the Sioux Lookout District and
catchment areas;
-
Ability to speak Oji-Cree, Ojibway, and Swampee Cree is a
definite asset;
-
A valid Driver’s licence is preferred.
